Biblical Literacy Project instructors are available to teach in your church or group. Our goal is to teach at approximately the level of a college freshman, with academic integrity and a high view of scripture. We find that congregations and group members respond quite enthusiastically to our lively and interesting style.
Please take the initiative to contact an instructor whose expertise and/or geographic location matches your need. We might need some lead time in order to find a date that works for both you and us, but sometimes we can also do something quite spontaneously, especially if zoom works for you.

MDiv, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary
Eden Prairie, MN (available to teach internationally)
Specialties:
- New Testament History and Literature – intro course to the culture, history, and literature of the NT. (2-40 hours)
- Synoptic Gospels – This is a course designed to closely exam the Synoptic problem through comparative analysis of the first three Gospels. Half the semester was spent doing in-depth analysis of one of the Gospels on rotation. Included in the course as well is an introduction to post-modern hermeneutics, particularly Narrative Criticism. (2-40 hours)
- Luke-Acts and Acts – these have been taught individually and as a pair. I think teaching Luke-Acts together serves the student better. They are taught from a Pentecostal perspective. (2-40 hours)
- Gospel of John – I’ve taught some lectures from this Gospel and have published an essay in a Festschrift on the Gospel. (2-40 hours)
- Romans and Galatians – these have been taught with a particular view to Pauline theology. Romans has been taught at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. (2-40 hours)
- Pauline Epistles – I can teach any of these. I have not taught full courses on some of them but doing so would not be a problem.
- Hebrews – this is my favorite book and has been taught as an upper-division course for many years. (2-40 hours)
- Revelation – I did my dissertation work in Revelation and have taught it many times. The course has also included an introductory look at Jewish Apocalyptic Literature of the Second Temple period. (2-40 hours)
- NT Greek – I’ve taught all levels of Greek for many years. (2-40 hours)
