The Biblical Literacy Project consists of scholars and advanced students who offer college-level introductions to the Bible - both backgrounds and literature. We hope to assist Christians and other interested persons in gaining healthy foundations in the midst of a media culture that tends to present the biblical material in a sensationalist or extreme manner. Our lively, engaging teaching style combines expertise in the subject matter with presentations that make complex concepts understandable to a general audience. The Biblical Literacy Project is the outreach arm of the Center For Ancient Texts and Languages (CATL), an academically oriented non-profit that seeks to preserve ancient manuscripts and mentor young scholars. BLP instructors and students love to help the public with questions about the Bible and Bible backgrounds. You can ask such questions, interact with scholars and students, and read interesting and educational posts by joining our Facebook group.
